Not only am I diggin’ Jidenna’s dapper style, but his music is off the hook! Every song he has put out is a banger for sure. Jidenna blesses us with another hit single, “Little Bit More”, that is climbing up the music charts.
Yesterday, Jidenna released a music video for this single, and I am loving the island vibes. In the dance-hall inspired song, he shows off his dance moves for his girl in his classy bright colored suits. I have this club anthem on repeat as I’m booking a one-way ticket to Jamaica!
Expect his upcoming album, Long Live the Chief to be out later this year in the fall.
A couple of weeks ago, Tory Lanez dropped his newest single “LUV”, and I am loving it! The song is inspired by the classic “Everyone Falls in Love Sometimes” by Devonte & Tanto Metro, so you already know the dance hall beats will have you shakin’ your booty non-stop! Can we say, summer anthem!?
Be on the look out for his album I Told You dropping some time this summer. In the mean time, enjoy the music video below.
A few months ago I accidentally stumbled upon dvsn and I’m totally loving his dark sexy R&B vibe. He is officially dropping his album Sept. 5 on April 1, but it’s available now on Apple Music. Take a listen below and let me know what you think.
Kanye West announced through Twitter that he will be dropping his album SWISH on February 11, 2016. Then his wife, Kim Kardashian, tweeted that every week up until the album drops, he will be releasing new music. My favorite so far -“Real Friends”. Listen below.
Remember a few weeks ago I said Erykah Badu was dropping new music soon? Well, here it is. She released her But You Caint Use My Phone mixtape last week and it is available now on iTunes. It makes sense that the whole mixtape theme is telephones. Along with the remix of Drake’s “Hotline Bling”, she also remixes New Edition’s “Mr. Telephone Man”, Usher’s “U Don’t Have To Call”, and the Isley Brothers’ “Hello It’s Me”. I thought Drake made a couple cameos in the mixtape, but Erykah confirmed herself through Twitter that it is really the rapper ItsRoutine. He does an uncanny impression of Drake and definitely fooled me. Andre 3000 also makes an appearance on a song. Ms. Badu is back and I love it!
If you saw me on the street dressed in my slacks and blazer, you probably would never guess that I love listening to rap music. But sometimes I just want to listen to music that’ll help me relax, especially as I’m traveling through airports. We all know how hectic that can be.
Fetty Wap’s music is topping the music charts and flooding radio stations across the country. He was voted number one in XXL Magazine’s 2015 Freshman Class as the artist to watch out for. YouTuber, William Singe, does an amazing acoustic cover of Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen”. I get the best of both worlds! I can calmly bake pies with my baby, haha. Take a listen below and while you’re at it, check out William’s other covers. I’m definitely adding his whole track list to my Travel Playlist.
I grew up listening to R&B/Soul music and Erykah Badu has always been one of my favorites. The legend has remixed Drake’s recent hit, Hotline Bling. She adds in her neo-soul touch to the song’s tropical influences and comes up with “Hotline Bling But U Cain’t Use My Phone Mix”. It will also be included in her upcoming mixtape But U Cain’t Use My Phone, so watch out for that. I can’t help but put it on repeat and add it to my Travel Playlist.
